「ナイトバーズ」で有名なフュージョンバンド・シャカタクはなぜか英国のバンドなのにいつもカタカナ表記される。しかもなんとなくアジアっぽい名前なので、昔はてっきり日本のバンドかと思ってた。
そもそも名前の由来は何なのか、と公式サイトを見ると
The name SHAKATAK was decided upon by way of a "thank you" to the RECORD SHACK for their distribution, and the word ATTACK was added simply because it sounded good! By dropping the C's and a T the logo SHAKATAK was born.（http://www.shakatak.com/html/history1.htmより抜粋）
……って、すごい単純なネーミングじゃん！！
